halloween is here!!!

soooo im really excited for halloween this year.....my coworkers birthday is actually on halloween eve. lol. we are all planning to get dressed and go down to the strip (the las vegas strip) to get some drinks&&&go dancing. it should be a lot of fun. i really wanted to do a couples costume this year and having matching costumes with my fiance soooo it was either jasmine&aladdin, beauty&the beast, pocahontas&john smith, or ryu&chun li from street fighter. in the end.....they all failed. mainly because i couldn't find a costume for my man to wear. they rarely had any disney male costumes. and then they didn't have a cute chun li outfit for me! haha. long story short i ended up doing pocahontas/native american/indian girl and my fiance is going to be a cowboy aka cowboy&indians? idk my friends that it was a cool idea i guess. anyways funny story...we go out last night and i'm in my costume and he last minute decides to join the other guys in our group in dressing up as the jabawockees! lol. he got the white mask & gloves and dressed in all black with some adidas shoes on. i still have his cowboy costume and he is going to wear it on saturday night! haha.

here's a couple pictures i would like to share:

my take on dry shampoo&&2nd day hair.

you know those days you get lazy and don't want to wash your hair just to restyle it again? or how bout those days you are short on time? well my savior product for those hair days is DRY SHAMPOO! i know that disguising your oils at the roots of your hair seems kind of disgusting, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

i will NEVER use dry shampoo more than one day at a time. its a product to use specifically between washes when absolutely necessary. unless your one of the lucky ones that don't have an oily scalp....skip this post all together. haha.

so ladies please use sparingly...otherwise get your butt in that shower and wash those dirty locks :P

products i like to use:

  • tresemme fresh start dry shampoo for straight hair (they do have a foam type for curly hair)
  • tresemme fresh start refreshing mist
  • john frieda 100% glossing mist

here's a tutorial on how i like to use these products:

jackass 3d.

just seen jackass 3d this past weekend and honestly it wasn't as crazy as i expected. although 99.9% of things they did i would never think of doing it wasn't anything extra crazy or over the top....minus the porta potty bungy thing. lol. disgusting! it seemed to me like it was a repeat of what they've done in the past. either i was the one of the few that wasn't impressed or i'm just over the entire jackass thing. the stupidity is just old and i'm more interested in jersey shore and bad girls club if anything! haha. trash reality tv is just so much more entertaining. and was it really necessary to have it in 3d? there was hardly any part of the movie that needed to be 3d, if any. they just wanted to steal the extra $5 a ticket to make it seem as if it was gonna be that much better in three dimension. well i'll admit that i fell for there genius marketing strategy, but if you haven't seen it yet and are planning to....don't waste the extra money for the cool glasses. it really isn't worth it. but heyyy if you want to give in to the new 3d trend by all means....go for it! don't say i didn't warn you. hahahaha.

sorry guys just thought id vent out my opinions on this million dollar movie. i don't wanna ruin any fun for anyone but if i can save you a buck....your welcome :P

thanks for stopping by! until next time....see ya later!

teenage dream.

i am obsessed with the new cd from katy perry....teenage dream! its amazing. not to mention she is goregous and always has on great makeup. its wierd cuz ive noticed that when i love a cd i have it on repeat or on a shuffled playlist on my computer&&&ipod for months until i get absolutely annoyed and move on to the next. honestly, i wasn't really a fan of her music before this album and i think california gurls is what sparked my interest. her style and sound is just different.

#11 hummingbird heartbeat on repeat!

Top 10 Eyeshadows (High End)

Even though I don't wear eyeshadow on a daily basis I still have my own favorites that if I do decide to put some on majority of the time it will be one of these colors I mention. They are all either MAC or higher end brands, but I will be posting my favorite drugstore eye shadows following this post.

All the colors are very neutral becuz I'm a neutral type of girl. So whether you are just starting out with makeup or if your in the market for new colors to try....each color is very versatile and multi-purpose so you can get the most use of your money. Hope this helps! Enjoy!

ruelala.com

Sooo I just got "approved" or "invited" to join ruelala.com after a looong ONE day wait! Haha. They make it sound so exclusive that you have to be approved in order to join. It was just like hautelook.com when they first started before a lot of people found out about the site. Now anyone can go to the website and immediately join. With Ruelala.com you have to get invited by a friend in which your friend would receive a $10 referral credit as soon as you "the referred" made your first purchase or be put on a waiting list. What's in it for them? The obvious... advertising by the most successful way possible...word of mouth or referral by a trusting friend. Great thinking on there part! That's one of two ways...the only other way of joining is to be put on this waiting list until you receive your exciting "You're in! Just set your password" email. Which I just received today! Whooopie! Haha jk.

For those of you who aren't familiar with these type of sites:
- Both websites offer exclusive price discounts or sales on name brand merchandise.
- They offer womens, mens, children, beauty and home products.
- Each sale or what they call "events" by hautelook.com or "boutique" at ruelala.com offers these discounted prices for a specific amount of time. Most being a day to a few days long.
- Discounts range depending on the item, but are subtracted off the normal retail selling price.
- You receive daily emails on the new events they have going on to make sure you don't miss out on the special offer. To some it may be annoying, but you can set your preferences to how often you would like to be emailed.

Saving money is of course great, but honestly I have noticed a lot of things sold on the website seem to be... soon to be discontinued items, already discontinued items, or overproduced/overstocked items therefore needing a faster sale. To me its basically an online Ross, Marshalls, or TJ Maxx maybe minus the irregular or wrongfully made merchandise. Either way they make you think you are getting a better deal by receiving a so-called exclusive discount causing the buyer to impulse buy due to the time limit.

Which ever way you take it, I am in no way bashing these websites because obviously I myself have fell for this gimick and I do currently shop at Hautelook.com at least once a month. It was just something that  I sometimes have to think twice about before finalizing my purchase.

If you would like an instant approval to either of these sites I will be more than willing to provide you my invitation so I can receive my referral credit! No pressure. Hahahaha.
